Aliy went in and out of Kaltag in 7 minutes....dropping a dog in the process. I watched the video of her arriving.....our boy Chemo is still on the a team coming in, but don't know for sure if he left with the team out of the checkpoint. We will have to wait for a picture of the Team over the next 85 miles to Unalakleet. You are only as fast as your slowest dog, and right now Aliy needs speed! We are about 650 miles into this race with a lot of trail yet to go. Any dog that made it this far certainly has done their part! They are all superstars in my mind!
At this point in time, Martin Buser has not taken chase after Aliy....so for now, she is in the lead!
