Race up the Coast

Now for the last 300 miles of the race!  Aliy is first out of Unalakleet bound for Shaktoolik.  King is right behind her and makes the run into Shak 14 minutes faster than Aliy.  He has one more dog on the Team than she has.  Buser left next and he is still en route to Shak.  It looks like a string of pearls along the coast.....mushers lined up like a parade!  Sonny is behind Buser, then there is a small gap with Dallas coming in from behind...another small gap and we have Mitch and Burmiester right on top of eachother.....then another small gap with Sorlie the last of the front pack out of Unalakleet! The race to nome is kicking up to high gear!

Petit has scratched!!  I don't know what the story is yet but he slowed on route to the coast.....for a while yesterday it looked like he may pass Aliy while she was resting, but like I said he slowed and apparently was having difficulty of some sort.  Once I find out Ill post an update.  I really like Petit....sorry to see him leave.  He was doing so well!
