The Race in and out of Nikolai

Hello IditaFans! Here is the latest on the race via the GPS Tracker: Schnuelle, Mitch Seavey, Baker Gatt and King are now spread apart by a mere 13 miles. Willimitzer, Zirkle, Steer and Mackey are only 16 miles from the front runner Schnuelle. They will be passing through the Nikolai checkpoint soon. Hopefully the race status will update on the Iditarod site soon so we can see how many dogs the Teams left with. I'll report again as soon as a full update is done by the Iditarod web crew. From what I heard, the Iditarod Insiders have set up in Nikolai and will be giving a full report soon!
