I FINALLY Understand!!

Remember back in 2008...when everyone thought Gebhardt was going to pull into Cripple first....and then he didn't because he took a wrong turn just outside of "town"? Then, BAM...Dee Dee Jonrowe rolled on into the checkpoint...and to every ones surprise, including Dee Dee's, SHE was awarded the Dorthy Page Half Way Award? Well, that is kind of what happened to John Baker. Everyone, including me, thought HE was guaranteed the Cripple Half Way Award....but if you look back, I said iF HE DOESN'T do anything stupid....well, he did...he took a wrong turn, costing him 4 to 5 hours, not to mention a bunch of gold nuggets!! This little mistake may have cost Baker the race. Will he rebound? Time will tell!
