Mackey On the Move...King Chases After Him

Mackey has left Unalakleet around 2:30 our time, after a good 6 hours of rest. The next checkpoint is in Shaktoolik, which should take 4 to 6 hours. The weather is good, no wind to speak of, so this part of the trail should be no problem for Mackey! I will have to wait until the Iditarod Web site posts his stats to see how many dogs he left with. Hmm...I just peeked at the GPS Tracker...looks like King may be taking chase after Mackey. King got into Unakaleet only about 3 hours ago...looks like they are going to battle it out on the coast...what a dog race!!!
