The Chase Pack is Formed

We have Mackey about 10 miles behind King, followed closely by Neff, Mitch Seavey and Gatt. Mackey has 12 dogs, King has 14. This race is far from over...the chase pack just needs to cut rest to make up time...but the test will be WHEN to cut the rest...when and how...because if you rob your Team of rest too much, they will simply run out of gas on the trail. Strategy, strategy, strategy! Jeff Kings Team is really strong...he described them as work horses just marching with confidence down the trail. Mackeys Team was devouring their meals...a sign of a good, strong team. Mackey remarked he has 12 dogs that will find a higher gear if he gives the word. Neff, Mitch Seavey and Gatt are also within striking distance...its an amazing race! I'll report again as soon as I see the first Teams into Galena.
