The Deck Has Been Shuffled

This is where the leaders will try to switch up their rest run ratios. Mackey bolted out of Kaltag first, down the ancient portage trail from the Yukon to the Bering Sea Coast. The GPS Tracker shows Mackey moving at 6 mph with King 17 miles behind him. This is a 90 mile run from Kaltag to Unalakleet, with 2 nice BLM Cabins to hole up in to rest. Gatt is in one now, with King coming up on him moving 7 mph. It will be interesting to see how Mackey's jump to the front will play out. Its midnight here in the North East....and we are having a bit of a wind storm. If I don't post anything first thing in the am it means we lost power again. Which will really suck cuz this is a hell of a race!!! Lets hope Mackey makes it in first, AND I have power so I can see him glide in there! As much as Id love to see King win his 5th Title....I want Mackey to shatter Iditarod Records with 4 straight wins...he only has one chance to do that...and I believe he and his Team are giving it all they have!
