So far, it appears Dallas and Wade are serving out their 8 hour rest in Koyukuk....but Dog Haulin Dallas Daddy Mitch left Koyukuk after 3.5 hours rest and has now blown through Nulato on his way to Kaltag. Its only 22 miles from Koyukuk to Nulato, and from Nulato its 47 miles to Kaltag. The trail between these villages is hard packed and traveled by snow machine by the locals all winter. Its reportedly FAST and an easy pull for the dogs.
The insider crew is reporting freezing rain is moving into Kaltag....I'm not sure how that will affect the trail, but its another wild card.
