The front runners are on their way to Koyukuk and at the present time are about 30 miles from the checkpoint. I believe Dallas is playing some head games with Wade, as he has consistently been staying directly behind him nearly the whole way. Here is how it breaks down:

* Means 8 hour break still needs to be served. All the other teams can come and go as they please, and quite likely will rest shorter, like an 4, 5, 6 hour rest anywhere they please while the others must serve all 8 hours in a checkpoint.
The temps right now in Koyukuk is 7 degrees...by noon it will be 17 degrees with a saving grace of being mostly cloudy.
Curious on King and Buser....they have not left Huslia yet and don't appear to be taking advantage of the coolness of the morning before it gets too darn hot. Not sure of their strategy, but they know what their dogs need.
