Dallas slips into 2nd place by a mere 2.5 minutes ahead of Petit!

Well there you have it....Dallas is second by 2.5 minutes....and then Petit in a respectable 3rd place.  He gave Dallas a run for sure.....nice job Nick!

Nick is the first Team over the finish line that had his dogs on the tow line the entire race, unlike the Dog Hauling Seaveys who "saved" certain dogs to be put on the line in Kaltag when they switched out their sleds for lighter sleds without mobile dog kennels.  Nick did an awesome job keeping up with the Dog Hauling Seaveys and should be applauded for having his entire Team enjoying the trail with him, out in the open and doing what dogs love to do.....RUN!  Way to go Nick!!

Please note the next Teams are also NOT Dog Hauling Teams, and like Nick they kept their dogs in the race on the tow line to experience the trail with them as they all headed down it together as a Team!

Next in the chute will be Joar Ulsom, presently running at mile 945

Jessie will follow him and is presently at mile 930 WITH ALL 16 dogs!!!  You go Jessie!

That rounds out the top 5....Dog Hauling Mitch and Dallas, followed by traditional Mushers Nick Petit, Joar Ulsom and Jessie Royer.  The next 5 will be racing for a spot on the top ten....right now they are serving out their 8 hour mandatory rest.  This group consists of Ray Redington Jr, Fan Favorite Aliy Zirkle, Young Musher Wade Marrs, "ThreePete" Pete Kaiser, and Veteran Paul Gebhardt who came outta nowhere!   I will start coverage of them when they are well on their way!

Stay tuned!!!
