The Breakdown

We have a lot of Teams now in Unakaleet.....and when you look at the run times, you can't help but notice Jeff King has the fastest Team in that stretch....Aliy the slowest. I know Aliy rested her Team a lot during that run....so her time doesn't look great.....but unless that equates into cutting rest in Kaltag, all I can say is Aliy rested her Team more because they needed it. But King.....seriously, he was way back in the pack running to Iditarod checkpoint....you got to say Jeff, you and your Team have done good!! Here you are in 3rd place......and I saw the video of his Team coming in....barking and pulling hard.....this Team has some power yet for us all to see further down the trail. Reportedly Mitch is fixing to leave Unk soon....so we shall see how this all unfolds. Burmeister and Mitch have about 3 hours on the first chase pack, led by King. This is all getting really interesting!! The race up the Bering Sea Coast has begun!!
