King is King in Koyuk

King came off this ice behind Mitch and stayed only 6 minutes.....filled his water bottle and he was gone! Everyone else was wondering how far he would travel before pulling over. Thanks for the tracker we could see he went 8 miles and pulled over to rest. He rested for 3 hours and Mitch rested for 37 minutes on top of that. King holds a good hour lead on Mitch. Soon the next 3 were off the ice....Aliy, Redington and Burmeister. Everyone rested a bit and are back out on the trail. King stopped at mile marker 808, Mitch right behind catching up at mile marker 804, and the main chase pack at 791 (Aliy and Redington), with Burmeirster at 788.
