Buser Widens the Gap

As Aliy takes her mandatory 8 hour rest in Grayling, Buser left his 8 hour mandatory rest in Anvik and now is 30 miles ahead of the Grayling Checkpoint. It appears at least to some that this is Busers race to loose. If someone is going to catch him they better make a move soon because before you know it your out of trail! By all accounts, Aliy is the closest to Buser, but she won't be able to take chase until 9:52 pm EST. By then he may be 50+ miles ahead translating into at least a 5 to 6 hour lead. Busers bold move early on seems to be working.....the rest of the Teams can only watch. Someone will have to cut rest a few times to catch up with Buser who doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. It will be an interesting night for sure!
