Now we can see who is where!

Now that the 24 hour rests are almost over, its MUCH easier to see for a moment who is where!

King broke his rest in Cripple and bolted to Ruby to be the 1st on the Yukon as well as getting that nice meal and $3,500 in one dollar bills!  Nicely done Jeff....this is not the first time you have done this!  So as Jeff waits out his 24 hour rest, the chase pack is barreling up from Cripple....right now this is the line up:

Aliy (go Chemo Dawg) at mile 447, Sass at mile 446, Mitch at mile 432, DALLAS (yes he has served his 24 hours) is hot on the trail at mile 431, Anderson also at mile 431, Marrs at mile 429, Petit at mile 427.  King at Ruby is mile 495.  I did see Aliy took straw with her, so she will no doubt pull over to camp which is her preferance to provide better rest for her dogs. 

Once the Teams are on the Yukon they must take an 8 hour break before heading down the long portage to the coast at Unalakleet.  Its strange to say that....it seems the race just started!  We are at the halfway point....at some point someone will have to cut some rest and make a LONG run.  The front pack will pass by Ruby and King will have to watch until his 24 hours is served....and then....watch out...he has 16 strong, capable dogs all rested up to chase down the front pack!
