A long trail to Cripple - Halfway Point!

My goodness...the run from Ophir to Cripple took over 13 hours!  Dallas Seavey appears to be the winner of the Dorthy Page Halfway Award of $3,000 in gold nuggets!

Noah Burmiester is about 15 miles from Cripple, at mile 411, Sorlie at 406, Baker at 405, Maxiner at 395, Lance at mile 384, King at mile 381 and Ralph Johannessen at mile 380.

None of the above mentioned Teams have taken their 24 hour rest...and its unclear if Dallas will take his in Cripple, or mush on into Ruby for his 24 hour rest and a gourmet meal with $3,500 in one dollar bills as the "after dinner mint".  Time will tell who breaks from Cripple to win that prize!

The other Teams will break from their rest in the wee hours of the night (EST)....and then the race "resumes" with the rested Teams making their way to the halfway point and beyond....whose strategy will work in their favor...the ones who went the furthest to take their 24, or the ones who opted to take their rest "early"?

Stay Tuned!
