Congrats to both Jessie and Aliy for being the top 2 Women Teams into Nome! This may very well be the first time 2 women finished in the top 5!! Awesome job!!
Aliy in particular had 3 EIGHT year old dogs....Quito, Nacho and Chica....the heart and soul of her Kennel with her under the Burled Arch in Nome! What a tribute to them to finish 5th in their last competitive Iditarod!
And Jessie.....awesome run.....personal best! It was fun watching you
blow through Shaktoolik and go straight to Koyuk....a gutsy move that
catapulted you into the top 5!
