Race To Iditarod

It looks as though 3 Teams have left Ophir on their way to Iditarod....these Mushers would be Kelly Griffin, Trent Herbst and Cim Smyth...right now they are about 30 miles out from Iditarod, the halfway point and some gold nugget prizes! BUT, remember, none of these Teams have taken their 24, so they may look like they are in the lead, but really they are just in the lead to the halfway point. Buser bolted from Takatoa after his 24 hour (plus time differential from the start) and he is pulling a blistering pace through Ophir on his way to Iditarod. Mackey, Neff, Schnuelle and Seavey are between 14 to 20 miles behind Buser as of 5:30 this am (EST). Someone is going to have to cut rest to take the lead from Buser....but again, there is a lot of trail yet to cover....lots of places to play hide and seek...catch Buser if you can!
