Baker with 24 mile lead!

The race continues up the coast, lead by John Baker! John arrived at the coast first, and was awarded the Gold Coast Award and $2,500 of gold nuggets. John is very well known here in Unalakleet...and there is much pride in town seeing one of their own leading the race! But John has to be smart...he has got a BUNCH of Teams behind him just waiting for him to make a mistake. Right now, the tracker is showing Gatt 24 miles behind Baker, followed by Ramey Smyth only 3 miles behind Gatt, then Sebastian Schnuelle a few miles behind Ramey, Hugh Neff only a mile behind Schnuelle! Dallas Seavey, Sonny Lindner and Dee Dee Jonrowe have not left Unalakleet yet, and Royer, Mackey and Sven Haltman are making their way into Unalakleet right now. The race up the coast will continue through the night!
